Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (Hindi: कहो ना प्यार है - translation: Say...you Love me) is a 2000 Bollywood movie directed by Rakesh Roshan, which marked the debut of his son Hrithik Roshan.
The movie stars Hrithik Roshan, Amisha Patel, and Anupam Kher in pivotal roles. It was both Hrithik Roshan and Amisha Patel's debut Film. Hrithik played a double role in the film, and became an overnight superstar in Bollywood.
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai was the top grossing Indian film of the year, and won many awards, including eight FilmFare Awards.
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai was the highest grossing film of the year, and won eight Filmfare Awards. It brought Rajesh Roshan the Filmfare best music director award again after 25 years. Rakesh Roshan collected his first ever Filmfare awards, which he got as a producer as well for being the director.
Hrithik Roshan became the only actor to win the Filmfare award for best debut along with the Filmfare award for best actor for the same film. He became an overnight superstar as a result of this, his debut film. He was praised by both the young and old for his acting and dancing abilities.
Following on the success of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, the father and son team would go on to make several more hits.
